  • AfriCOBRA: A Black History Month Special (Documentary) AfriCOBRA is a half hour documentary that aired on TV Land during Black History History Month (2011). It tells the story of a group of artists that came together amid a tide of social change and political upheaval and began to define a uniquely black aesthetic in the visual arts. They sought to make art that spoke directly to the needs, aspirations and experiences of black America, and that celebrated what was beautiful and heroic about black culture.

    The design / art direction approach for this project was to use painting and hand drawn techniques to build the the main titles, chapter headers, lower thirds and transitions. The paintings / artwork were brought to life by deconstructing them into layers and animating them in a 3D space. The colors and brush strokes
    are inspired from a cross section of the artists' individual pieces.

  • Battle Shape App A fun game of shooting down shapes inspired by classics such as Space Invaders and Defender. The level of difficulty increases the longer the player takes to destroy passing shape.
